This Membership Agreement is entered into by FaithWorks Network, Inc.

hereafter referred to as “Member,” and comes into effect as of

I. Mission Statement FaithWorks Network is the Region’s faith, community, and civic alliance focused on faith-led and collaborative economic development.

II. Vision Statement FaithWorks Network envisions Gary to become an economic driver of Northwest Indiana.

III. Values Statement Faith-Led Collaborative Inclusive

IV. Governance

The FaithWorks Network shall have officers and committees set forth in its Bylaws. Officers include: Chair Vice Chair Secretary Treasurer

Committees include: Executive Committee – includes all officers Strategic Marketing Committee – includes all officers and subject matter experts by invitation Strategy Committee – includes all officers and subject matter experts by invitation

VI. Faith-Based Organizations

A. Criteria for Membership

1. The organization must be a faith-based organization. 2. The organization must have an interest in improving economic development for the City of Gary, Indiana. 3. The organization must have reviewed the Faith Empowering Economic Development (FEED) Gary Plan and identified a Pillar & Pathway to contribute towards. 4. The organization must have at least one representative of the organization who can dedicate time to participate in network meetings. 5. The primary representative of the organization who attends meetings must be a clergyperson.

B. Member Benefits

As part of membership with FaithWorks Network, the Organizational Member will have access to education supporting: 1. Registration with the U.S. Government’s System for Award Management (SAM); 2. Registration with Grants.gov; 3. Access to funding opportunities offered by the U.S. Government.

C. Member Dues

1. Faith-Based Organizations shall pay $2,500 annually. 2. Clergypersons of Faith-based Organizational Members shall pay $100 annually.

VII. Community Organizations

A. Criteria for Membership

1. The organization must be a community organization within Gary, Indiana. 2. The organization must have an interest in improving economic development for the City of Gary, Indiana. 3. The organization must have reviewed the Faith Empowering Economic Development (FEED) Gary Plan and identified a Pillar & Pathway to contribute towards. 4. The organization must have at least one representative of the organization who can dedicate time to participate in network meetings.

B. Member Benefits

As part of membership with FaithWorks Network, the Organizational Member will have access to education supporting:

1. Registration with the U.S. Government’s System for Award Management (SAM); 2. Registration with Grants.gov; 3. Access to funding opportunities offered by the U.S. Government.

C. Member Dues

1. Community Organizations shall pay $2,500 annually. 2. Leaders of Community Organizations shall pay $50 annually. 3. Community members shall pay $20 annually.

VIII. Business Organizations

A. Criteria for Membership

1. The organization must be a business organization within Gary, Indiana. 2. The primary owner of the business must be a resident of Gary, Indiana. 3. The organization must be a member of the Gary Chamber of Commerce. 4. The organization must have an interest in improving economic development for the City of Gary, Indiana. 5. The organization must have reviewed the Faith Empowering Economic Development (FEED) Gary Plan and identified a Pillar & Pathway to contribute towards. 6. The organization must have at least one representative of the organization who can dedicate time to participate in network meetings.

B. Member Benefits

As part of membership with FaithWorks Network, the Organizational Member will have access to education supporting:

1. Registration with the U.S. Government’s System for Award Management (SAM); 2. Registration with Grants.gov; 3. Access to funding opportunities offered by the U.S. Government.

C. Member Dues

1. Business Organizations shall pay $2,500 annually. 2. Owners of Business Organizations shall pay $100 annually

IX. Expectations

The Member agrees to undertake the following:

1. Serve on a committee of the FaithWorks Network; 2. Attend meetings of the FaithWorks Network; 3. Pay dues to the FaithWorks Network by the required deadlines; 4. Comply with the Bylaws of the FaithWorks Network.

IX. Restrictions

The Member agrees that they will not engage in the following:

1. Reproduce secured information received as part of their membership and share it with non-members or third parties. 2. Post inappropriate, inaccurate, or offensive content to membership forums and discussions. 3. Encourage disruptions of committee meetings or meetings of the FaithWorks Network.

X. Liability

The Member will not hold the FaithWorks Network liable for any tangible or intangible damage that might happen to them while participating in the membership.

The Member agrees that the FaithWorks Network cannot guarantee any results from their membership.

XI. Membership Termination

The FaithWorks Network has a right to terminate the Member’s membership if any of the terms and the conditions of this Agreement are violated. The Member can terminate their membership at any point and for any reason and will not be charged for their next billing cycle.

By signing below, the Member confirms that they have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
